About our music
Sin Eater
Born out of a 10 day camping trip in the Appalachia Mountains, Sin Eater was truly a product of spontaneous creativity. The story appeared in a day, and was written and rewritten in the course of that week. With a driving rhythm and a story that lingers, the song captivates from start to finish. The song depicts the Sin Eater, a person hired to eat the sins of the dead, a tradition which arose 17th century in Wales and moved to the Appalachian Mountains. The Sin Eater was ostracized from their community, seeing as they had the ‘sins’ of the dead. Our song revolves around the Sin Eater, their feelings, and ultimately their way out.
Sin Eater is available to stream on Spotify, Apple Music, and all other streaming platforms. You can also check out the music video on YouTube
On Forgotten Paths
Dear MariBella & the Pigkickers is proud to announce their album, On Forgotten Paths! The album includes a collection of songs written by Isabella and AnnMari with the Pigkickers adding their input whenever they can. It also includes a couple of traditional tunes that are special to the band. The songs are meant to take the listener on a journey down a forgotten path, each song representing a tale from a traveler you meet along the way. Much like life, some tales are joyful, some sorrowful, and others humorous. We hope you enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed creating it.
On Forgotten Paths is available purchase digitally or in CD form on Bandcamp now. You can also stream on Spotify, Apple Music, or check out their YouTube
Magnolia
Dear MariBella and the Pigkickers is excited to partner with UNCW’s newly formed Teal Music Productions to release their debut EP, Magnolia. Good writers write about what they know, so their debut album features the things they know and love— sunshowers, flowers, pigs, and chocolate ice cream. Written sitting together on the front porch and polished around the kitchen table, these songs reflect family life mixed with a little rabble-rousing sibling fun. Nothing fancy, just simple stories and good times.
You can find the EP on any streaming platform! Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music as well as on AirPlay Direct.
